Tiriel |

This is the second sculpt of the praying Paladin, Tiriel, from
Hasslefree miniatures.
A breathtakingly serene piece. I brought the incompleted figure to a minipainter
meeting and it generated an enormous amount of interest. There is something about a
paladin in prayer that catches everyone's imagination. Most palys are swinging a
sword or mace. This one is at peace. You can certainly imagine her kneeling
next to a wounded comrade, healing his wounds with her goodness. What a great, great
model. The painting on her was rushed. I went back to try and use GW Citadel
paints. Namely Shadow grey on the platemail. Ack! What a disaster! Ever
since GW switched from the old shadow grey in the hex flip-tops, I haven't been able to
get it to co-operate with me. Never mind the fact it's a completely different color
now. grrr.
Someone suggested she would look great in blood red armour too. Hmmmmm..... Maybe
next time. :)
