This is my rendition of a menacing
version of Alice in Wonderland. She is clad in a silky
looking little blue-black evening gown. In one hand is a recently
discharged pistol, in the other a stuffed toy with a gunshot wound in it's
forehead. To add to the weirdness, the rabbit has a bloody hole rather
than just what would be the stuffing coming out. Obviously Alice has had
quite enough of the obnoxious rabbit.
Her base is a 25mm plastic that has been smoothed and
painted in the same colors as her pistol and rabbit. To reflect the
disturbing nature of the model, the floor was painted as tile, in a pattern
called Fraser's spiral or false spiral. It's actually a circular
pattern but at first glance the narrow rings look like a spiral, as the
continuous single shift in the tile colour pattern fools the eye, creating
the illusion.
